Kidsclub: How It Works (and What to Expect the First Time)

2 min read
"

Kidsclub is our in-house childcare, open every class. Your first workout — and your kid's first visit — is free. After that, Kidsclub is $10 per kid, per month: a flat monthly rate, no per-class fee, no reservations needed. Ages 6 months to 12 years. If you haven't brought your kid in yet, here's exactly how it works.

The mechanics

  • Hours: all class times.
  • Where: just inside the front door, to the left. You can't miss it — it's the one with kids in it.
  • Who's in there: a dedicated Kidsclub attendant during every class. Never your coach, never another member. A trained adult.
  • How to use it: walk in with your kid, sign them in, walk to the floor. After class, walk back, sign them out.

Dos and don'ts

  • No outside food or drinks — sippy cups and bottles are the exception.
  • iPads are allowed, but please keep toys at home. We have plenty — toys, snacks, and craft supplies are all provided.
  • Bring a diaper bag if applicable.

What to expect the first time your kid cries

It is not a sign that Kidsclub is bad or your kid is broken. It's a sign your kid has never been left in a new room with new people. They'll get over it faster than you will.

The attendant is trained to handle it. They'll comfort, distract, redirect. They will not pull you off the floor unless something is actually wrong.

The longest first-day cry we've seen lasted about 8 minutes. Then she was building blocks. Two weeks later, her mom was the one looking sad because the kid ran in without saying goodbye. This is the most common arc.

Your move
If you have a kid and you haven't brought them in yet, text your head coach with their age and one thing they're nervous about. You'll get back specifically what to expect.
