Your Buddy Match

1 min read
"

A 2-year vet has agreed to be your Buddy for the next 30 days. Here's who they are and what that means.

What a Buddy is (and isn't)

A Buddy is: someone who's been at ATC for at least 2 years and agreed to be a friendly face for you for a month. They know your name. They'll say hi. They'll answer the dumb questions you don't want to ask a coach.

A Buddy is NOT: a personal trainer, a therapist, a friend you have to invite to dinner, or someone you owe anything to. Low-pressure mechanism — not a forced friendship.

What to do with this

  1. Next time you see them in class, say hi. Use their name.
  2. Got an "is this normal?" question that's too small for the coach? Ask your Buddy.
  3. Considering an event and don't want to go alone? Ask if they're going.

What we ask of them

Their entire ask: "Say hi to this new member when you see them. Answer their questions if they ask. If they disappear for 2 weeks, text me." That's it.

Your move
Save their name. Look for them next class. Be the one who says hi first.
